I have to confess, i hate soccer. I live in the center of a soccer crazed city and I have no rest when holland plays. And you have no idea what kind of drunk idiots roam the streets here when holland wins :cry:

I respect your optimism about germany, but if they play as they did in the pre rounds, they will go down like the last time in France :lol:
But to be honest I won't bet on anybody right now.

France is not in the same postion as back in 98. They are now defending champion so it'll be harder for them, as it was for Brazil on last WC. England finnaly has respectable squad, but they always blow it up in quaters. Hope they'll reach finals.
Personaly, No1 favorit is Argentina. Whole Seria A best plus Veron and lads from Primera. They don't even need Batistuta in that squad. Lopez is in great form, as well as Crespo. Midfields are in top form as well. Last row is now secure with Roma's Samuel!
Brazil is outta their play, they should be happy for being on WC.

Right now the very best teams out there are Argentina and France without a doubt.

And if Argentina plays the A game all through the cup they are unstopable...

Expect the unexpected this time.

I feel it's going to be someone completely new.
Anyone can beat anyone in one game.

We all know that the top teams can choke, especially with them having to proof so much.

France - that it wasn't a fluke
England - not having qualified for the last one
Germany - not performing well in last two
Italy - losing on penalties twice ( final - '94, 1/4 - '98 )
Brazil - having been the best nation for the last 52 years with only 4 championships
Argentina - not performing since '90

Sorry I had to pull you up on this one :P England did qualify for the 98 World Cup and got knocked out by Argentina I remember the night vividly. It was 94 we didn't qualify, sorry I had to bring it up :wink:

England did lose on penalties against Argentina in the round of 16.

We have never claimed to be the best, fastest, prettiest or even most talented site like the english have.

We should at least be awarded something for consistency, after all, we have always agreed to the fact that we suck. No excuses, no reasons - just enjoying doing the worst we can.

Who the hell dug this out???

I remember: June 2002: lot's of traffic (was one of my highest month for some weird reason), little income (the ratios went way down), not much time for porn because I spent too much time watching foolball/soccer...
