How old is your NB, what cpu, what HD and since when is it running slow?
what OS.
The deleting of the themp does not realy help to speed up, it just gives space on the HD. Try to defrag your HD, how much RAM do you have ?
and how much is you SW using while running ?
When is it slow when you start up ore when working with all the progs together.

The programs you're running are conflict-free to my knowledge even though I would not recommend using FrontPage2000 even as a paper weight. Shit program that's all.

Lisa,

You need more than 64 megs of ram... mine was slow with 256 megs... bumped it to 512 megs and runs much nicer now... of course I'm running win2k and have a little fastr machine, but not much, only 866 MHz

If you delete your temp internet files it WILL speed up things on your machine immensely, regardless of what someone else said here... and set your temp internet files storage to around 10-15 megs tops

i have to agree with darksoft that 64ram is way to less.
Btw SW = Software
There was a saying that if u'r running win98 with 64ram the software would slow donwn the machine. I'm running on a 400mhz PII with 130ram
and have no prob. even when i'v multiple Programms running.
My OS is ME ( please dont shoot me now )
So if you can the first step would be to mount more ram ( best as much as you can afford ).
Did you do the defragmentation of your HD ?

Another thing to keep in mind, when using win98, any ram over 192 megs is wasted on that OS, as 98 can't take advantage of it and it may make the machine even more unstable that it is by default... if you wanna run a lot of ram, get win2k, forget about that XP shit, and toss an assload of ram into it... my desktop is a 1 GHz Athlon with win2k and 768 megs of ram and it runs like a scalded dog

I'm in agreement with the guys here, delete all temp files, de-frag your hard drive and buy as much RAM as your motherboard can handle, its dirt cheap now a days. Buy Rambus RAM if you can afford it, that shit really shoves a rocket up your computers arse, if you can't afford it go for the standard stuff it will still speed it up.

i think u don't need to buy something to restore ur computer speed
just format and resetting it but ofcourse save ur data to other
computer / storing device as CDR or floopy

Try PC Pitstop (http://www.pcpitstop.com) It tests your machine then gives you tips specific to your computer, and it's free!!

I went there but when i read that you must have Aktiv x I let it be.
Go to some free download sites and look for any benchmark or tune-up
Programs. I may be paranoid 8O but I'm alergic against :gun Activ x

You gotta be careful with them free downloads too, I've seen some nasty accidents with wiped C: drives, my wife killed my last computer downloading everything she could find but refusing to scan them, she said it takes too much time. :gun
