Howdy

I'd like to find a bit about taxes in Sweden, I've heard you got your pockets almost entirely dried by Tax-Man.

Hi J,

it all depends on how you look at it. As a private citizen you may think that you pay 30 % of your income as taxes. However you may as well ad on top of that the 30 % your employer has to pay in taxes for paying you your salary. And then of course when you make a purchase you will normally have to pay 20% in sales tax.

In spite of this we are usually quite well to do. I think we are still in the top 20 countries in the world regarding standard of living.

The main problem with our kind of taxation, I think, is that it is not cheap to hire new employees for small businesses, this in turn means that Sweden doesn't have enough medium sized companies.

Jeeeez me 2 cents

I'd say the taxes over here pretty much SUCKS!
It depends on where you get the money from tho.

If you get the cash from a country outside of EU you will get away with less taxes and shit then if you was making it inside EU, at least if you're running your own company.
