Mike: Tell me a bit about yourself, education and stuff like that |
Greenguy: I was born & raised in Lackawanna, NY, graduated Lackawanna High
School in 1989, went to the State University of New York at Buffalo for 2
years, quit to work full time for a trucking company, quit the trucking
industry to work for myself in 1998.

Mike: You started in the summer of 1996 cause a friend of yours got you into it. Did you see the net as a money making machine or did you just mess around? |
Greenguy: I have no idea there was money to be made on the net - the site was just for shits & giggles :)

Mike: Why the name Greenguy when your URL is Link-o-rama.com?

Greenguy: The name comes from an image on the freehost that I was on in 1996 - Link O'Rama just sounded good at the time.

Mike: What did your family say when you told them that you were working with porn?
|
Greenguy: Everyone but my grandmother knows (don't tell her if you see her -LOL) I think everyone is comfortable with it, as they all knew me before I
got into porn. Meeting people now for the 1st time & telling them what I do gets mixed reactions.

Mike: Link-o-rama is not your only site. What else do you run?
|
Greenguy: I have 150+ other domains & numerous sites on each - way too many to mention.

Mike: You started on free hosts like the rest of us back in 1996. What's your opinion about the free hosts today?
|
Greenguy: My site was shut down by the free host I was on & that is still the main reason I don't like nor list them. The webmaster that submits has no control what-so-ever of the site being there the next day. Way too many of them were going 404 or redirecting, so I just banned them all.

Mike: One of the major problems in the TGP business is cheaters redirecting galleries. Do you fight the same problems on your link list?
|
Greenguy: Yes, we fight this battle ever day. There are less & less now that we run the linkbot once a day, but we're still removing 50-100 sites a day due to 404's, redirects & no dns errors.

Mike: Some TGPs are charging people money to get listed. How about link lists? Will I have to pay to get listed in the future?

Greenguy: You might :) I have looked into the idea & as of right now, I have no plans to implement a Pay Per Submit feature to the site

Mike: Is it easy to get listed on Link-o-rama? Or do you get way to many submissions?
|
Greenguy: It's easy if you follow the rules & I think the rules are pretty easy as well :) I get a fair amount of submissions & we do list 75-100 new sites every day.

Mike: I've recently seen people talk about Link List 2 (as in TGP 2). What's your opinion about that?
(5 pictures per gallery, 2 banners per page, pics on html and a few more rules)

Greenguy: I haven't heard anything about LinkList2 in over a year. I doubt it's making a comeback, but if it does, good for those that can make it work.
