A COUPLE OF THINGS TO KNOW
ABOUT AVS OR ADULT VERIFICATION SYSTEM
Adult websites are all over the net.
Whenever you access adult sites, you would always encounter the
letters A, V and S or AVS. AVS may mean Adult Verification
System or Adult Verification Service. AVS allows the user or the
surfer to pay for a user ID which validates their age and grants
them access to all the sites available in the database of that
AVS network. Normally the fees are annual and may cost the same
as that of a monthly pay site membership.
AVS websites can be a marriage of free
sites and pay sites. This is because you get paid for granting
access to your site without having to charge as much as pay
sites. And you can avail of free web hosting since AVS sites can
be hosted by free hosting accounts. Webmasters or owners are
given a special HTML code which can be seen in their sign-up
page. This code is then connected to the server of AVS service.
Whenever a surfer signs up or logs-in to the site with the AVS
ID that they purchased, the webmasters or owners get a
percentage commission. As for the surfers, once the sign-up is
accomplished, they are allowed access to the members-only area
of the AVS site.
Additional income, at this point, can be
made from the surfers who need to log-in or sign-up in your site
to access and enjoy all the other AVS sites offered in yours.
You can also post sponsor banners and other advertisements in
your pages.
How does an AVS site work?
An adult webmaster signs up with an AVS
provider to sell AVS IDs on their site. Once approved, the
webmaster is given a code by the provider and posts it in his
web page or web site. This code will be used to track all the
IDs sold in his site and therefore grants the site owner a
percentage commission for every code sold.
For the surfers, they purchase a virtual ID
or a user ID from an AVS company. This ID usually costs $20.00 a
year and grants them access to all the sites offered by the AVS
company in their database. The ID is also a proof that the
holder is of a legal age and prevents minors in accessing the
member’s sites. A number of AVS companies have a lot of adult
sites in their database and offer other perks and privileges
upon purchasing an AVS ID.
Starting with your AVS
In getting into an AVS venture, you should
know the different types of AVS programs around. Then you can
run your site using your own domain or you can avail of a free
web host. There are AVS companies that offer free hosting. If
you decide to avail an AVS company’s service, you should visit
their sign-up page to fill-up all required information. They
will then give you a special HTML code which you will be pasting
in your site. These codes are webmaster specific so memberships
sold from that form will be credited to your affiliate account.
The first page of your AVS site should have
a warning page. This is usually required by AVS companies. The
next few pages should be teaser pages intended to “tease” and
“excite” your viewers to the tons of fun stuff that your site
offers. After teasing your viewers with your sample tour,
present your AVS sign-up page. Your viewer would probably want
to go on and purchase an ID from you to proceed with the rest of
your site.
Others uses for an AVS site
For the webmaster, an AVS site can
be used for a load of other things. It can be a recycling area
for bandwidth-hogging images and clips; a second site to sell
and promote less expensive and smaller versions of your other
accounts; to include sponsors, and; promote your page with link
trades, search engines, and gallery submissions. |
