Optimizing Your TGP for Search Engines
Thumbnail
Gallery Post or TGP is a website that contains a list of
thumbnail galleries posted by Internet webmasters. The pages of
a website are accessible through a common root URL or the
homepage. The URLs of the pages are set into a hierarchy though
a hyperlink.
TGPs are exceptional and
effective means for limitless traffic generation, because they
are ubiquitous among surfers who know them to be a good source.
Optimizing for search engines (SEs) should be
taken in to consideration even before starting the work for the
site and not as an after-thought. To optimize your page for SE,
you can have a keyword target with every page. You can create a
site map as well. Bear in mind, though, that all search engines
have very complicated robots that can detect keyword stuffing
which can get your site banned.
Principally, you should create a name for your
site that will best suit your specific niche. Make sure that the
title is located at the top of the page in BOLD.
After finishing your site, be sure to get as
much good links as you can. Search engines like Google generally
look at your links, serving like a vote to your site. The more
number votes on your site, the more Google thinks your site is
important.
To succeed in this link building, you should put
emphasis on the text. For example, you sell pills and you would
like people to link to you. Anchor texts such as “pills” or “buy
pills” tells Google that this site is absolutely about pills. At
this point, this is the most significant feature of SE ranking.
You might as well want to get links from sites
that do not have 10,000 links. Competitively, link dumps are not
helpful though they would be a nice start. A site having 100
links provides only 10% of what a site with 10 links can
actually give. But having many links will make Google
immediately devalue the link.
You can also create links page for link trading
but bear in mind that it is not sensible to name it “links.html”
because Google will devalue it. One way to avoid this is by
naming it “friends.html” or “resources.html,” or however you
want to call these links. Instead of creating a page containing
more than 50 links, a more recommended way is by creating a
second or third links page.
It is HELPFUL to affix alt tags to each graphic
found on the site. The alt tags found in every site are
unreadable in search engines and assign lesser significance to
the words that can be found in alt tags but those specific words
are still valuable.
Optimizing for SEs is not a simple task because
it requires too much time and it slows you down. Patience is a
virtue. You’ll see everything is worth it in the end.
